It's been awhile...

So I haven't blogged for a long time but a lot has happened in the last few months.

First of all in July S and I got engaged. Then in October we moved into our new condo. We gave our wedding set for August and I am in the middle of trying to plan things.

I have learned through this whole experience that I am not a good planner and I cannot make a decision for the life of me! It is so hard when everyone is telling you something different.

I downloaded a cool little app for my phone thy allows me to blog from my phone. Since I spend so much time commuting I expect I'll but updating more frequently.

And I almost forgot...

On September 21st, 2008 I will be joining thousands of other late 20's - late 30's women at the New Kids on the Block reunion tour here in Toronto...

Hahaha that's right, New Kids on the Block... doesn't that bring back some funny memories...

Well now that the cat is out of the bag and you all (that's if anyone actually reads this blog) now think I am a big loser I will end this post before I let any of my other crazy secrets out...

Another Monday ...

It's crazy how every single weekend seems to come and go with the blink of an eye. It doesn't matter how busy or free the weekend is it never seems long enough. Monday morning always seems to come in such a hurry....

Overall though I can't complain about the weekend that just passed. I got to go out and eat my favourite food... Sushi with my boyfriend S. and then after that we watched a movie (The Kite Runner - the book was much better but it was still enjoyable). On Saturday the weather was beautiful and we washed our cars and hung out outside most of the day and then in the evening BBQed with our friends J and O (the food was great and it was topped of with a walk to the local Baskin Robbins... YUMMY!!!) . It will be the last BBQ with O for a long time as she is heading back to England this week to finish off her masters .

On Sunday we did the mother's day thing with S's mother for brunch and then afterwards met up with J to go see O's opening at the gallery (she's a curator). Very interesting... I really wanted liked this one piece but I didn't have $7000.00 kicking around to buy it....

And today was Monday.. what is there really to say... wake up, go to work, come home, remember all the things you didn't get done on the weekend that still need to be done...

Sigh.. who came up with a 5 day work week and a 2 day weekend... ??

Random....

While driving down the road the other day in Mississauga I saw something that I thought was quite funny...

... When I looked into the bus I noticed that it was all really young school children otherwise I may have been tempted to ass since the lights were not flashing...

Summer is coming!!!

It finally is starting to feel like summer is coming... or at least the spring. It is about 10 degrees and sunny here today which is great considering last weekend we got about 30 cm of snow!!

Bring on the BBQs, patios and summer fun!!!!

Ontario's First Official Family Day..

I have to say it was great to have a long weekend. It was exactly what I need to break up this long winter. I know for some they are unfortunate and work for companies that are not honouring the new "holiday" but this time I am one of the lucky ones who works for a company that gave us the day off (and we still get to keep our float day ..whoohooo!!!)

So what did I do for this long weekend?? Well yesterday I brought my boyfriend S, to the auto show. It was my first trip to the auto show and I really enjoyed it (except a few times when I was stuck in a crowd of hot stinky people). The only problem now is that I want one of those nice fancy cars that cost about 10x my salary.... (see picture to the left!!)

Of course, there are the typical luxury cars that appear every year at the auto show.. and then the crazy cars (see image to the right) that we all know will never make it to production... even so it was a fun afternoon followed by some good food with good company..

Well for those of you who didn't get to enjoy this long weekend I hope you have better luck next year...

Yet another Snowy Day in 'ssauga...

Well with the way this month has been going it was no surprise that it snowed yet again today creating another 1.5 hour long drive home (it usually takes 25-30 minutes at most!) The snow today was quite nice - the big fluffy stuff that I associate with Christmas time. The only thing that really bothers me about the snow here is that there is no good place to go skiing/snowboarding close by. It kills me to see the white stuff with no mountain near..but such is life I guess.

I took a few pictures from the balcony again today to try and picture the beautiful flakes. Notice all the traffic and the fire truck.... I watched it try to weave through traffic for about 5-10 minutes.
